Twickenham - Beautiful Leaf and Flower Designs!

This week, the forest was buzzing with the sound of tools as we focused on practical work. Various items, including wagons and wheelbarrows, needed some careful attention from little hands. The children eagerly gathered around as the educators explained how each part functioned and highlighted the importance of all the mechanisms working together seamlessly. With small tools in hand, the children twisted and turned, diligently working until every part was back in its rightful place.

Our Little Forest Folk-ers carefully tapped their hammers onto little white sheets, imprinting beautiful leaf and flower designs. I wonder if anyone can recall the special name of this artwork? These delicate creations could be transformed into cushions, napkins, or framed as a memento of another happy day spent in the forest.

Our little explorers have been deeply engrossed in books this week, reading aloud, sharing ideas, and discussing the illustrations. They asked the educators questions and discovered answers on their own. While looking at pictures, they shared their predictions and made connections with the written text. Some read together, while others relaxed and read alone.

As the summer approaches we see the children flourish in their independence and it makes us all the more grateful to witness them at this stage of their journey.

We look forward to what next week will bring.
