What an exciting week it has been here in Putney Heath. Starting off the week with some very hot weather, the children engaged in a LOT of water play to help keep them and their educators cool. The children enjoyed playing with a solar panelled water fountain which they loved! It provided the opportunity to learn about sunlight and its power and to learn where to stand in order for the sunlight to not be blocked. We also had some water sprays that the children enjoyed using to water the trees and water their educators as well!
Later in the week the wonderful water play continued. The children had the opportunity to discover the pirate treasure coins that were frozen in blocks of ice. The children had to work together to get them out using different tools and resources. Other activities included zipping down the zip line, lots of role play and our usual amazing mud kitchen creations that were being made.
Not forgetting our friends who had their last day in the forest with us this week. We shared some goodbyes and gave them a certificate and medal to celebrate their time with us at forest school. We wish all of them the very best in their next adventures.
We wish you all a restful weekend!
