Putney Heath - Pom Poms and Puddles

This week has been filled with a variety of exciting and thoughtful activities and the children have been eagerly engaged in them all.

A highlight activity must be our pom pom sorting game. The children were provided with small pom poms of all different colours and colourful tweezers. With these, they had to match the colour of the tweezer to the colour of the pom pom and sort them into piles of colours. The children showed amazing fine motor skills, controlling the tweezers carefully to pick up the pom poms and also showed their great colour recognition skills too.

Another stand out activity this week was our swing. The children enjoyed swinging as high as they could trying to touch the trees with their feet. The children experimented with different ways to swing, and some even put their teddies on the swing to see how high they could push them!

We ended the week with some magical rain which gave us the opportunity to splash in puddles, make rain potions and engage in lots of water play. We had great fun sailing down the canals of Venice, collecting water in our wheelbarrows and one of our educators volunteered to be splashed with lots of water! What a fantastic way to end our week.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
