We’ve danced through a symphony of weather this week—from gusty winds and gentle rains to bursts of sunshine and even a sprinkle of hail. Yet, through it all, the resilient wildflowers have painted our forest with vibrant colours and life.
Wildflower Wonders
Our adventurous little explorers have been busy trekking through the Heath, spotting and identifying the seasonal blooms that adorn our forest. The children have discovered bluebells, snowdrops, forget-me-nots, dandelions, and daisies, creating a tapestry of colour that is a feast for the eyes. Accompanied by picnic snacks, we’ve savoured these moments under the sun’s fleeting rays, embracing the natural beauty around us.
Calm Crafting with Herb Pouches
In our pursuit of tranquillity, the children have crafted their own herb pouches, using a blend of essential oils and dried herbs such as rosemary, sage, lavender, and citronella. Utilising scrap fabric, they carefully assembled aromatic sachets that filled the air with calming scents, transforming our environment into a peaceful haven amidst the bustling forest life.
Indoor Creativity with Playdough Patisserie
As the winds picked up, we retreated to the cosy confines of our clubhouse, where the children engaged in sensory play with homemade playdough. Our little chefs got their hands busy kneading, folding, and rolling, conjuring up delicious creations in our imaginary forest patisserie. This hands-on activity not only honed their motor skills but also sparked a delightful display of creativity and imagination.
Despite the unpredictable spring weather, our spirits have remained high and our curiosity undimmed. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
