This week has been filled with adventures, excitement, laughter and care. The children of Putney Heath have had the opportunity to engage in a wide range of different activities and adventures, all of which we would love to share with you.
One exciting activity that has continued into this week has been our super spider webs. The children absolutely loved experimenting with different ways that they could climb the web and they have used the web as a basis for some incredible role play scenarios. We will definitely continue to build these spider webs in our forest as it allows the children to develop their physical strength, teamwork and negotiating skills.
The Forest Doctors were back again, and this time they had some new equipment to help provide the best care possible! The new additions included a stethoscope, a blood pressure monitor and several different medicine bottles and tablets. The children (aka The Forest Doctors) worked together to provide the best possible treatment for their poorly patients and showed amazing care and compassion towards them.
The children have also enjoyed some terrific tool work this week as they had the opportunity to use a hammer to secure some nails into planks of wood. The children showcased great listening skills whilst listening to the tool rules and showed their fantastic fine motor skills whilst controlling the hammers.
What a wonderful week we have had here at Putney Heath. We hope you all have a restful weekend and Easter holiday for the sessional children. We cannot wait to have you all back in the forest for some more exciting adventures :)
