Our week in the forest has been filled with excitement, creativity, and heartfelt farewells as we prepare for transitions to big school.
With a couple of our friends heading off on their next adventure, we've been talking about what we can expect at school. To celebrate their time with us, we took the time to create personalised envelopes for all our leavers. The children decorated their friend's envelopes with beautiful stickers, drawings, and written notes. They worked diligently on their mark-making skills, resulting in truly beautiful masterpieces filled with love and good wishes.
Our week also saw the children trying their hand at some wild cooking. They embarked on a journey to make a Victoria sponge, mixing the ingredients together before taking it back to the clubhouse to bake. The children even assisted in the making of the strawberry jam, learning about the process and enjoying the fruits of their labour.
With everything London going on in our forest, the children have been busy building train lines and tube stations, complete with public announcers for each stop. This activity has not only been fun but also a great way to incorporate learning about the city's transportation system.
The excitement of Wimbledon has also burst into our camp, sparking discussions about what we can create related to this grand event. The children have been brainstorming and planning their Wimbledon-themed activities, which we look forward to seeing come to life.
As we enjoy the summer weather, our camp is buzzing with creativity, teamwork, and the spirit of adventure. We are so proud of all our little ones for their hard work and enthusiasm this week.
Thank you for another wonderful week, and we wish our leavers all the best on their new journey. Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
