This week brought hot sunshine, so we made the most of it with lots of water play to stay cool and refreshed. With our theme of camaraderie and teamwork, we celebrated the Little Forest Folk Putney Heath Euros finale. The week culminated in a winners' podium ceremony, where we celebrated our victories and the fantastic teamwork displayed by all our adventurers.
In the mud kitchen, we integrated our learning with physical activity by using pedometers to count our steps. The children learned about counting and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. They also made mud smoothies and practised their chopping skills, combining fun with practical learning.
In the craft zones, we used recycled materials to make trophies and medals. The children demonstrated creativity and environmental awareness while crafting these symbols of achievement.
As some friends prepare to move on to other nurseries and schools, we have been discussing these transitions. We've been talking about what to expect and how to feel about the new adventures ahead while cherishing our memories from the forest.
It’s been a week of celebration, creativity, and preparation for new beginnings. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
