We have had another fantastic week here at Putney Heath full of exciting activities and surprises and the children have had so much fun!
We began the week off with some beautiful painting and drawing, which seemed to be an ongoing interest for the whole week. We started off with colouring in some Union Jack flags leftover from our wonderful Coronation celebrations. This quickly developed into colouring in hearts, dinosaurs and other fantastic animals. The children of Putney Heath showcased their amazing fine motor skills, using precise mark making to create some wonderful pieces of artwork.
Towards the middle of the week the children were welcomed with a very exciting surprise. Jurassic Park meets Putney Heath as a fearsome dinosaur escaped and made its way on to our camp…. (AKA Lala the Dinosaur). Luckily this dinosaur was friendly and asked the children if they wanted to have a ride on its back. The children gladly accepted and they laughed and cheered as the dinosaur transported them around the camp. We managed to capture some amazing pictures and videos to remember this exciting surprise.
The children have also enjoyed challenging themselves on the slackline, trying to balance carefully along the wobbly line. They experimented with different ways to walk along the slackline, using only one hand to hold on, bouncing along and also trying to balance with only one foot!
We have had a jam-packed week here at Putney Heath and we cannot wait for more adventures next week :)
