It’s been our last week of term, and what a festive finale it has been! As we wrapped up an incredible year, the forest was alive with Christmas cheer, creativity, and lots of fun.
Our week began with a flurry of snowflake-making, where our adventurers honed their scissor skills. Folding paper and cutting triangles, they created intricate snowflakes that turned our forest into a magical winter wonderland.
The workshop of our little elves was in full swing as we dived into salt dough magic. The children moulded salt dough into enchanting tree ornaments, using cookie cutters to shape stars, trees, and more. They decorated them with sequins and little stars, and after air drying, these lovely creations can be hung on our own trees.
In our craft zone, the sparkle continued with glittering stars. Covered in glitter, Christmas-themed stickers, and even bits of tinsel, these dazzling decorations brought extra brightness to our festive week.
A gingerbread adventure awaited in another corner of the forest as our adventurers made their very own gingerbread men! Cutting them out of felt, they practiced sewing to add buttons and embellishments. We paired this craft with a reading of The Gingerbread Man story, bringing the characters to life through their handiwork.
The week has been brimming with Christmas jumpers, music, magic, and joy. From start to finish, it’s been a festive celebration to remember, filled with laughter and creativity.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday break! Thank you for being part of our forest family this year—we can’t wait to see you in 2025 for more adventures.
Happy Holidays!
