We have had a glorious week in the forest enjoying the sunshine and engaging in lots of fun and exciting activities that we are excited to share with you all!
One of our favourite activities from the week must be our buzzy bee creative activity. The children carefully wrapped yellow wool around pinecones and then used some thin blue material to create wings for our new fuzzy friends. We then chose a great place in the trees to hang our brilliant bees! Everyone had great fun making bee noises and flying their bees around camp - some of the children even played a trick on one of the educators pretending to be a real bee behind them!
Later in the week, the children worked hard to create some wonderful Father’s Day cards using the paint dabbers and some letter stencils. It has been a week full of thoughtful creations, as some of the children also created their own pebble friends. These were inspired by the story book “Lubna and Pebble” which is based on a story of a little girl who was a refugee. This week is world refugee week, and we wanted to do something that would help us to think about others that are less fortunate than us.
It has been a very warm week, so we had to ensure that we all kept cool in the forest. The educators filled up some spray bottles with water and the children loved dancing around under the water!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week :)
