Putney Heath - A Photo Masterclass!

The first week in October started out with a bang as the children honed many new skills!

To start the week off strong, the children engaged in the most magical maths activity with their educators. They listened to a story and used props to count how many characters there were. The little ones added and subtracted the props but transformed the activity by using them to retell the story in their own words.

As a testament to the Little Forest Folk-ers bravery, they climbed and swung from the most difficult of slacklines. The educators attempted to trick the children by creating spider webs and obstacle courses, but the children climbed with ease. Even when faced with the toughest challenges, the little ones never gave up and showed their developing problem-solving skills.

Our little explorers tested out new technology this week by taking their own photos and printing them out. The children felt a great sense of pride snapping the pics and taking them home to share with their families. It was a great opportunity for our Little Forest Folk-ers to learn a new skill!

Near the end of the week, the children used all the skills they learned during the week to create massive structures such as castles, dens and garages. They took turns, shared resources and invited their educators to join in.

Another beautiful week in the forest has gone by, which has us excited for another week of learning. Everyone here at Putney Heath wishes you all a lovely weekend!
