Fulham - Easter Holiday Camp!

This week marks our first Easter holiday camp week and as usual at Fulham we are all super excited to welcome not only some new faces to the forest but some regular holiday campers back too.

This week we have been engrossed in lots of group games, such as playing with the large wooden Jenga blocks and noughts and crosses. These games are great for the children as not only do they encourage turn-taking but also persistence and thought processes.

Using pens and paper we have been working on and practicing our letter writing, and we must say our Little Forest Folk-ers are really improving on their ability to form familiar letters very clearly.

Going on bug hunts around camp is always exciting and using the magnifying glasses makes searching for little creatures so much more fun! Finding lots of slugs and snails this week, we have been super careful when handling and observing them and making sure to put them back in their natural environments afterwards.

Our little adventurers love the educators’ walkie talkies. So as this is a big interest of theirs at the moment, we have been bringing our old models to camp to encourage and promote role play. They love to mimic us, and have enjoyed copying when we do regular head counts on the radios.

What a fun packed week here in Fulham it’s been, let’s see what happens in the forest next week!
