Here at Fulham we’ve had a fantastic week, welcoming some new friends into our setting ️ Our current cohort continue to impress us with their welcoming nature and kind spirit when meeting their new forest mates, ensuring smooth and harmonious settles for our new starters.
Our theme for the fortnight is a literacy focus, particularly fostering a love of reading, letter recognition and introducing/strengthening early phonics abilities. We’ve had a big array of engaging literacy resources, where children have shown off their name writing skills and sounding out their letter sounds.
We celebrated all things nature, animals and the ocean for our Earth Day themed day at camp. We experimented with some finger painting to complete a large-scale outline of the Earth and discussed what extinction meant for the animals and the planet, and we did plenty of small world animal play.
This Friday we celebrated Ella’s role switch to bank staff whilst she embarks on an exciting travel trip. We look forward to having her back in the forest, hopefully full of exciting stories and pictures of her adventures. To send her on her way we decided to host our very own CoachELLA festival, equipped with a music stage, flower crowns, tie-dye, face paint and of course plenty of tunes! Our Little Forest Folk-ers loved wriggling and jigging to the funky beats.
