What an amazing sunny week we’ve had in the Fulham forest. The weather has been amazingly warm which has kept all the children’s spirits in tip top form.
Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who have attended this week’s stay and play in the forest with us. It is always nice to have you join us, get stuck into the day-to-day activities with your little ones and for you to get the amazing experience of seeing what they get up to on an average day with us in camp.
To create some nice, shaded areas in camp this week, some awesome dens have been made using the wooden crates and sheets. These areas have been the perfect place for our little adventurers to spend some time reading stories or doing some great focused activities.
As this week has been about healthy eating we have tried to encourage and incorporate this into our set ups.
One day, we had an activity where the children could think about germs, especially those on our teeth. Everyone enjoyed using toothbrushes to clean away the germs from the teeth on the cut outs.
Over in the creative area, using some cut up apples in we did some apple printing where our little artists had great fun creating some really bold and colourful artwork.
The climbing tree has been a huge hit this week with all the children and we’ve loved seeing them really explore this and challenge themselves to achieve what they first thought they couldn’t, becoming more confident and managing to climb the tree a little higher by thinking of new strategies to do so.
It's also been a lot of fun running through the sprinklers in the walled garden which has been a super way to cool down from this heat.
Another popular activity has been designing and making our own tie dye fabric! The creative patterns that have been designed are nothing short of incredible.
Join us again next week here in the Fulham forest where we will continue to have a blast and get up to the most amazing adventures!
