Santa Claus really did come to town!
Wow, what a wonderful week! Being so lucky with the weather, our little adventurers showed off their festive selves by involving themselves in all things Christmas.
With Christmas fast approaching, our forest has been nothing but festive to say the least. From stitching gingerbread men together and showing off their super impressive fine motor skills to making magical baubles to then take home and hang on their tree, our children are well and truly the heart of Christmas!
We started the week off in a different camp and then switched mid-week as not only do we need to look after the grounds of our gorgeous forest but also… we had a… GROTTO set up! Can you believe it?! Our beautiful Y shaped tree in our new camp is a perfect tree to set up a beautiful grotto filled with beautiful fairy lights and lanterns! It was truly festive.
We also had a visit this week from Santa Claus 🎅 We were so surprised! Father Christmas had showed up just after our little adventurers had woken up from their nap so some of our little foresters really thought they were dreaming. He came and sat in our beautiful grotto and handed out the most amazing presents to our little adventurers and the manners that were used from our little friends were truly impressive. Our friends then picked up the lantern and lit the way back to our room leading the way to go to have some more fun.
It truly has been such a special festive week and we can’t wait to see what next week brings before breaking up from Christmas!
Have a lovely weekend everyone and Merry Christmas! 🌲 💫
