What a lovely week in the forest we have had over here at Wimbledon Village!
The week has brought a real mix of weather, it started off with rain, rain and more rain, but then by Thursday afternoon, it was warm enough to have our coats off for a run in the sun!
At the start of the week, we enjoyed some splashing in muddy puddles! We found some tape measures and measured the height of water that we had collected in buckets!
A few of our children have been asking to return to Cannizaro Park lately, and so on Thursday we planned the ultimate adventure walk. We headed straight to Cannizaro Park once the sessional children had arrived. After walking around the big pond, we headed into the beautiful Mediterranean Gardens, where we gathered various things that we found along the way in our little bags. From pinecones to tree bark, we gathered it all. After lunch, we then stuck these on pieces of paper to show what we had found! We found some picnic benches in the Italian Gardens too and had lunch on these!
The sun was shining, the weather was glorious, and it felt like our first glimpse of Spring! We had a truly glorious day and look forward to more forest adventures next week!
