This week we had what seemed like the fifteenth episode of Twister! As the high winds on Monday threw us yet another curveball and forced us indoors once again.
We enjoyed some nice safe play in our fantastic indoor nursery space, clay creations were once again very popular and built upon from last week’s activity. Some of our little sculptors decided clay people would be the theme of this week’s clay play, and so that’s what we made - some of the clay people even had posh fancy hats!
We were relieved to be able to get back into the forest on Tuesday, as we enjoyed a bright but soggy day in the rain and we had a great time playing in the mud! Educator Dan found us a super cool cardboard tunnel, and so we used it firstly as a ramp for mud vehicles to travel down, but secondly as a telescope for a battling pirate ship!
We had an inset day on Wednesday, where the team had a chance to set lots of exciting plans in place for the rest of the term and so it was nice to all be back in the sunny forest on Thursday!
We have enjoyed our topsy turvy week, and it has been great to see our newbies settling in nicely!
Have a great weekend everyone!
