Wimbledon Village - Bonfire Night & Diwali!

What a celebratory week we have had!!

Firstly, we focused on Bonfire night. We started with a discussion all about it, with excitable chatter about the firework’s lovely colours and sounds. Everyone picked up a paintbrush and joined in painting a clear tarp with lots of different, gorgeous colours. The end result was firework-tastic! 🎆🎇

Diwali saw us going on an adventure walk down to the stream. Together we folded paper boats, and we decorated them with lots of different coloured wax crayons to repel the water. Instead of tea lights, we used the wonderful natural resources at our fingertips and used autumn leaves as flames to ‘light’ the inside of the boats. Our Little Forest Folk-ers then had a lovely time floating them in the stream together.

Some fantastic rope work was seen to support our focus on climbing and squeezing into spaces. Everyone worked together to make a spiders web using clove hitches so that they could then climb all over it like spiders🕷️, they also attached rope to logs to make a rope bridge that they could clamber across and then ding the bell at the end.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
