What a busy week we had in the forest!
This week, we turned the forest into a construction site. We helped the Three Little Pigs make a strong house to keep the Big Bad Wolf away. We worked as a team carrying our materials throughout the forest using our wheelbarrows. We used tools to dig up mud to make bricks and collected sticks to make the frame of the house.
We also had a trip to the beach where we learned how to surf. Using our balancing skills, we rode the waves up and down on our cool surfboards. It was quite a sight to see all of us lined up riding the waves. We still had a lot of energy left, so we hit the gym. We pumped iron and flexed our muscles using weights and strengthened our thigh muscles with squats.
We also had a visitor in the forest. One of our baby squirrel friends was happily playing on our plane tree when it suddenly had a little fall. It was feeling poorly and decided to rest near the swing. As we are kind and gentle to all living things, we decided to give the squirrel a lovely bed to rest in. We looked for leaves and small twigs to put in the box. Once it was ready, we gave the squirrel space so as to not frighten it. We asked Miranda to help us put our friend in its bed. To our surprise, it leapt up and clung onto Miranda’s leg! Then to her arm! We think it needed a cuddle after falling off the tree.
We will be back next week with another update of our adventures in the forest. Until next time!
