This week has been full of amazing activities and excitement and all the children have really embraced everything we have had to offer in the forest. From the muddy puddles and the wet mud to the great array of teas, spices, and food colourings in our mud kitchen.
The mud kitchen has to be our highlight of this week as one of our educators brought in lots of different loose teas and spices for the children to experiment with and mix with water. We had some bubbly potions being made and some yummy purple ice cream and the children were amazing at sharing the different spices and teas with each other. The children used sticks and spoons to serve their teas and potions to the educators and some children even pretended to poison the educators with their magical potions! Of course, we should clarify that no educators were harmed in the making of these potions!
We have also really enjoyed the swing this week and the children have really been working on learning to push themselves, making sure they swing their legs back and forth to keep them in the air.
What a TEAriffic week we’ve had here at Putney Heath. We wish you all a wonderful weekend and we look forward to another week of adventures.
