Putney Heath - New Friends and Familiar Faces!

We ended last week with an adventure to the roly poly hill where we all enjoyed some peaceful swinging time in the hammock, enjoying the sun beaming down on us. The sun didn’t last long as we were pleasantly surprised with some snow, fluttering down on us whilst we enjoyed our lunch on the meadow.

As the new week began, we welcomed some familiar and some new faces into the forest as the Easter holiday camp began. We love holiday camps here at Putney Heath, as there is always a new and exciting atmosphere brought onto camp. We started straight away with some wonderfully creative activities such as clay modelling. The children enjoyed moulding the clay into different animals, shapes and objects and the results were amazing!

Other children enjoyed creating some beautiful ribbon braids to wrap around their hair and transform themselves into fairies. The rainbow-coloured ribbons gave them superpowers and they were able to fly through the forest.

Later in the week we were all getting into the Easter spirit and the children made some beautiful easter egg creations. The children carefully weaved pieces of ribbon through slits in the paper and designed some EGGcellent artwork. Following this, the children showed amazing collaboration and teamwork when building a den in the centre of our camp. This den became our home with a kitchen, garden, and a bedroom for us all to use.

Towards the end of the week, we embarked on a litter picking hunt using the litter grabbers and ventured to the meadow for some windy adventures. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here at Putney Heath. It has been full of creativity, laughter and collaboration and we are so excited to see what the next week of holiday camp brings us.

We hope you all have a restful weekend, and we will see you all soon!
