Save Our Trees
The Little Forest Folk-ers of Putney Heath have really enjoyed reading the book "Greta and the Giants" this week, which has also inspired them to design their own environmental posters. Some of our adventurers’ designs were to encourage people to "Save the Forest" and others asked people to "please stop cutting down our trees".
Some magic filled the forest this week too, with a wonderful experiment involving washing up liquid, milk and food colouring which brought little fireworks to life on a plate. Inspired by this magical experiment, the children created their own magic wands, which were then used to transform educators into animals!
For World Book Day our forest was filled with activities inspired by some of our favourite books. The children got to play with Harry's bucket full of dinosaurs, decorate two giant Elmers (and smaller ones to then take home) and also feed the very hungry caterpillar!
We wish you all a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing what adventures await us next week.
