Old and new friends
This week we have welcomed back many of our old friends that have gone to school and returned for some holiday forest fun, but we have also welcomed some new friends too and it has been great seeing them quickly getting the forest fever!
We started this week with a day by the Roly Poly Hill and another day partly spent on the meadow. Our regular children (as well as the holiday campers) have enjoyed the change of scenery and the different physical challenges that came with it. Tree climbing and finding the right speed to run down the hill are always thrilling activities for the children.
Our explorers are always very keen to help their educators with the daily tasks. This week they have shown great teamwork when putting up emergency tarps when a rain shower decided to pass over us.
The Little Forest Folk-ers also had a wonderful time letting their creativity flow freely with some A3 painting and we saw some amazing abstract solo creations, as well as great shared painting. This gave the children the opportunity to further develop their social skills by discussing together what should be painted where, and splitting up the tasks between each other.
Another wonderful week in the forest, we hope you all have a restful weekend!
