Goodbyes
We have had a wonderful week here at Putney Heath filled with fun, laughter and familiar faces. We have had another successful week of holiday camp, making new friends and learning from each other. We love holiday campers here at Putney Heath as they always bring a new energy to the camp and engage wonderfully with our younger ones.
This week we have had some fantastic activities on offer and the children engaged in them brilliantly. One highlighted activity has to be our tool work session. The children had the opportunity to use hammers to secure nails into some logs and add their own yarn decorations. The children created some very innovative creations… wands, fishing rods, swords and lots more.
Later in the week the children had the chance to create some handprint moulds. The children made a handprint in some clay and playdough to begin with. They then carefully measured the right amount of plaster of Paris and added just the right amount of water to create the perfect mixture to pour into the mould. Once poured, the children patiently waited for their handprint to set, and with the help of an educator, they carefully peeled out their handprint mould.
The time came this week to say our goodbyes to our very wonderful and cherished educator Lara. We have all loved our time with Lara in the forest and she has created such a fantastic learning environment for all of our Little Forest Folk-ers. We love you Lara, and we will miss you lots. Good luck on your next adventures in Italy!!
We hope you all have a restful weekend and we will see you all next week for more adventures.
