What a truly magnificent week we have had here at Putney Heath. We have had some fantastic activities that the children have been eager to engage in.
The main highlight of our week has to be our fishing fun, where the children had the opportunity to create their own fishing rods ready for the long sail ahead. At the beginning of the week, we created some cardboard fish and the children had the challenge to catch as many fish as they could to sell at the fish market once they had sailed back to shore. Once all the fish had been caught, the children sold their fish for different prices at the fish market including salmon, crab and even some puffer fish!
The children have also been working hard to create some wonderful bird nests and dinosaur eggs in the creative area. The children carefully moulded the clay into different shapes, using feathers and other natural materials to enhance their creations.
One of our wonderful educators created an amazing swing for camp this week. We have been trying to find a suitable tree for our swing for a while, but with the creative mind of one of our educators it meant that we could have a swing in between two trees. The children have absolutely loved this and have been challenging themselves to swing as high as they can.
We hope you all have a restful weekend and we look forward to more adventures next week :)
