We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval. The Prime Minister recommended to the Queen and she agreed that Little Forest Folk is an organisation which excels in innovation. As a result, she has awarded us with a Queen's Awards for Enterprise in Innovation. This is the highest official UK award for a British organisation so we are incredibly proud and honoured to have been recognised.
We could not do what we do without the loyal and unwavering support of our families, our wonderful children, who cause visitors to our sites to marvel and be inspired by their astonishing capabilities and characters and of course, our fantastic teams of educators who create magical experiences every day.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming Her Majesty The Queen’s representative into one of our forest settings, typically the Lord Lieutenant, who will present us with our official award in acknowledgement of our achievements. We wonder if they’ve ever had to wear wellies and waterproofs to a presentation of this type before!?
We also can’t wait for Her Majesty The Queen’s reception at Buckingham Palace later this summer – we will share photos with you after our visit, if we are allowed to take any!
