We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.

Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.

We had a big mixture of weather this week, with sun, clouds and rain but when the rain did come down on us it made the for most perfect muddy puddles to jump in!
Last week saw children fascinated watching ladybird larva transforming into adult bugs and we had lots of conversations about other insects and animals that make radical changes to themselves as they take a leap into adulthood.
With cries of excitement, our children in the forest made a new discovery this week. “What is this?” they asked, as they peered down at little black insects with orange markings.
The children at Little Forest Folk Putney Heath have had a wonderful August start this week as they have reunited with friends, formed new friendships and engaged in lots of enriched learning experiences
At last we can say that the summer is back again! After a rainy Monday we’ve been blessed again with some glorious sunshine and are truly enjoying the warmth of this splendid weather.

It seemed the weather wasn’t too sure about how it felt about Mondays this week and she was skidding around the skies giving us grey clouds and rumbling thunder one minute then bursts of sun the next.
This week has seen even more familiar faces return to the forest! These familiar faces have been a pleasure to have back, and have fully embraced the Little Forest Folk way of life.
